About the Realtor

My goal as a real estate professional is to rewrite the name of Realtors. We are more hated than used car sales men because people think we are only after the commission check. That may partially be true for some of us, but not all of us.

I can honestly say I drive people from house to house and list houses for the same reason you sit in your cube every day or paint houses or drive bus or, like my dear old dad, pound spikes for the railroad. We do it because we gotta eat, gotta support a family, gotta make a living, gotta give some cash to the church and other good orgs, gotta save for retirement and gotta put some cash into the vaca fund.

I am no different from you… I work hard, work with integrity and make sure the people I serve are taken care of when it comes to purchasing a house.

Give me a shot to prove that we aren’t all bad.

Here’s my background:

I grew up in a small town in West Central, MN called Villard (population 223). My dad’s famous last words were “money doesn’t grow on trees” so I got a job at the age of 12 working at a chicken plant butchering chickens. I moved up the ranks over the next 6 years and was a night manager when I left home for the BIG city of St. Paul to go to school at Hamline University.

I spent three and a half years at Hamline and earned a double major in Business and Social Studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude. After graduation I was recruited to work for General Mills doing business operations work on the TARGET account and was then promoted over to the Publix account. I left General Mills to work for a commercial real estate firm called Jones Lang LaSalle. After getting some great experience helping companies like United Health, Microsoft and 3M find office space in the Minneapolis/St. Paul market, I stepped away from JLL to focus on residential real estate sales with Lakes Area Realty. I have been working with Lakes Area since early 2008.

My focus is in the West Metro helping buyers and sellers with traditional real estate transactions and I’m also passionate about helping individuals make money investing in real estate.
